Come on Barry...

I've tried to stay somewhat positive on Barry. While I have always thought he was guilty of taking performance enhancement drugs, I also felt he still was a heck of a player before the dope era and would have had monster stats regardless, so we should give him a little bit of a break.

HOWEVER, this latest announcement of him ALLEGEDLY taking amphetamines from a teammate's locker (notice I have more class than Barry and won't mention that player's name) and not knowing what they were is more than I can take. I mean, yes I did have a habit of rummaging through Forbes' medicine cabinet whenever I was over at his place and taking pills even though I didn't know what they were, but that's beside the point... Most normal people don't do stuff like that. I'm guessing he's lying.

This is the worst of Barry's BS so far and frankly, I'm sick of it. I'm glad he stayed in the NL now. Maybe that will lead to him blowing out those knees and retiring sooner.
