Absolutely! It would be nice to see Painter get it, but he won't. It'll be Mario Manningham from Michigan. Higher profile game against a tougher opponent in Notre Dame. Painter had a nice game, but let's face it, it was against Ball State.
Hopefully, he'll be able to do the same thing or better against Notre Dame in a couple of weeks...

I would love to see CP light up ND for 400 yards passing 50 yards rushing 3 touchdowns and one rushing TD. I hope he does it this weekend against Minnesota too.

Minnesota is vulnerable. They no longer have the wrecking ball that is Lawrence Maroney. If we can take this game, you have to figure we'll beat IU, Northwestern, and Illinois. Penn State and Wisconsin are both in West Lafayette this year, so those are both winnable... with our secondary though... ugh. They can just put up points at will. Our offense is fine, but once we run into a defense that can even slow us down, we probably aren't going to win any shootouts. I'm thinking we'll beat Hawaii too, but I have to admit, I know very little about them.

So if we can beat Minnesota, that'll give us 8 wins a Bowl berth. Not our best season, but I'll take it. Next year the defense comes back better and stronger in the secondary, we return almost the entire offense (except for some of the line), and we contend for something bigger.

Hey! That Hawaii game might be a fun road game to go to. Who wants to go tailgate it and support the Boilermakers?!?!

Nice to see Maroney doing well in New England, by the way.
