Entertainment my ass! Ok so explain this stuff to me again. Indy -13.5 means they are favoring Indy by 13.5 correct? You would have to give Houston 13.5 points for them to be even. And you are saying "over Houston" so that means you think Indy will win by more than 13.5 right?
Man I would be so terrible at betting. |

Clearly these are for entertainment purposes only. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!?
"Over" just means the first team will beat the second team. "Colts over Texans" just means the Colts will beat the Texans. As far as the points, you're just making it more complicated than it is. If a team has a plus or minus after them, just add or subtract those points at the end of the game. So the Cardinals + 7 means they are starting with a 7 point lead, according to the pointspread. "San Diego -12 over Tennessee @ San Diego " means that at the end, you have to take 12 point off of the Chargers total score. It's the same as "Tennessee +12," just different ways of stating it, I just like to put the team I'm picking first. So with that pick, I think the Chargers will beat the Titans by more than 12.
Make sense?
One side note, teams don't "run it up" in the NFL like you see in college football, and these are all professional athletes. 12 is a lot in the NFL, whereas that's a pretty common pointspread in college. |
