That was an impressive win against the Chiefs in yesterday's Wildcard game. I have to admit, I was surprised. I, like everyone else, thought Larry Johnson was just going to run all over the Colts. Instead, the Colts came out on top, and decisively, at 23-8. The Chiefs only rushed for 44 yards.
I'm bothered by one thing - why so much better now, especially against the run? Bob Sanders was back, and he is a difference maker, but THAT much of a difference?!? It could be that the KC offense was just that bad yesterday, or that the Colts difference has the talent, but just hasn't been playing up to potential. That's encouraging, but you really want your team to shoqwup for every game, none of this "mailing it in" slop. |
