Who is everyone's favorite MVP to date, and why is he your favorite?

Peyton Manning.
1. I love the Colts and go to all the games.
2. He's a hard worker and a likeable guy.
3. His sportsmanship. He's not a trash talker or a showboat. He earned everything he has through hard work and dedication.

...and how can you not like his SNL skit?

Good question. It had me going back and look up who the old winners were. I was surprised to see that Barry Sanders never won one. I always liked him for most of the same reasons I like Peyton. Humble guy. Never danced or excessively celebrated in the endzone. Just a classy guy who always acted like he'd been there before.

You're definitely right about peyton manning's sportsmanship. you know who else I think did great things for their team and also has great sportsmanship is Brett Favre. The Packers would have been nothing without him- what a seriously amazing career!

Also I do think LaDainian Tomlinson is a brilliant athlete as well... not my fave MVP but an all around great player. He also seems pretty humble to me. I found this cool video about him on YouTube:

It's just like a mini-documentary about his life. Pretty interesting- has interviews with friends, family, teammates, etc...

I'm reluctant to even mention the name, but if you're talking MVP, so have to separate the man from the football player.
I'm also dating myself a little bit here, but nobody ran like OJ Simpson. He was exciting to watch. No, I don't like the man. I believe he's a murderer and got away with it. The football player though, was something special.

Again though, it's hard to separate.

I know what you mean, it can be really hard to separate the man from the athlete.

I'm originally from Minnesota, where everyone practically worshipped the Twins' Kirby Puckett and then when it came out that he had abused his wife and molested other women, no one wanted to believe it.

You're right about OJ though. He was an incredible athlete.
