Did you all hear about this?

You know, the NBA is just unwatchable. I loved it growing up, I was
around Chicago for the Jordan years and the Bulls dynasty. It went
downhill since the days of Jordan and Bird. No more role
models, or even decent citizens. You do hear some stories out of the NFL
along these lines, but it is considerably fewer despite the fact that it
has 10 times more players than the NBA. There actually are some role
models in the NFL. You never hear Peyton Manning on the news trying to
justify his shootout at the strip club.
I blame David Stern. He has managed to turn the NBA into a me-first league of thugs and pimps that promotes individuals and the hip-hop lifestyle over teams and fundamental basketball. No wonder Team USA keeps getting killed in the Olympics. |
